RETAIL DISPLAY
A big part of Hello Auto Group‘s brand is friendly, hassle-free personal service at their retail dealerships. One of my marketing tasks as this group grew from two to six locations was to create branded, animated displays both on-site and on social media that support the Hello team spirit. This included collecting information about each team member as well as showroom photography.
FREELANCE
During the COVID lockdowns I returned to my own remote graphic design service. Using InDesign I formatted a number of books for Carla at CLARITY DESIGNWORKS, as many authors made use of the time at home to write that book they always wanted to write.
Dede Wilke at AUDIOLOGY ASSOCIATES continues to make use of my services part-time for creating and updating her ads on print, websites and social platforms to market the award-winning local hearing center, owned by audiologist Kevin Bolder:

IN-HOUSE MARKETING
Prior to COVID, my marketing graphics production role at Contractors Wardrobe had me working with B2B Sales to launch CW Select, an exciting new line of glass shower enclosures, in hundreds of retail stores nationwide.
In a collaboration with engineering, CAD and 3D renderers I was inspired daily to pull together new product illustrations, diagrams, packaging labels and mock-ups of POP displays for a line of products still in development! In addition to that, creating names for each model involved research for descriptors indicating solid construction, smooth track movement and soft closure: Zephyr, Coast, and Surfliner.

After brainstorming with the VP of Sales I presented ways to update the CW legacy logo design, with a new tagline and modern medallion, to the executive team. This included mocking up a variety of identity updates including vehicle wraps, banners and new customer catalog ideas.
I designed and updated all the company marketing collateral including B2B price books, spec sheets, POP brochures, instructions, spec sheets and more.
MULTI MEDIA NEWS
- In the summer of 2018, as the art department at The Signal shrank from five artists to just me, I designed a brand new full color weekly news and lifestyle magazine for Santa Clarita to deliver to 70K households (please click image for more magazines and inside views):
- Signal Multimedia, a local news outlet, gave me the opportunity to produce magazines, news feature layouts and email campaigns in close collaboration with the editorial department for very quick turnaround, going out to thousands of subscribers.
- Daily I worked on tight deadlines to produce sections in the print newspaper and on the website with new content for Community, Home, Food & Entertainment, SCV Veterans, Real Estate and Opinion:
- In addition I quickly created ads for both print and digital that got our customers noticed in our assorted publications (please click image for more ads)
ADVERTISING
Back at my home studio from 2004 to 2017, I was a graphic artist producing monthly magazines remotely for City Publishing Company’s quality direct mail advertising, using InDesign to lay out pages and prep files for press production and mass mailing to 120,000 LA area homes. I designed local ads for real estate, restaurants, home improvement, retail and many more types of businesses as well as re-imagining their classic cover design in 2015:

PUBLICITY
As a freelancer I frequently did pro bono work, creating logo identities, event publicity campaigns, directories, forms and brochures when they were needed for causes I supported.
Start-up small businesses and non profits were my specialty.
